I got a tremendous number of questions about my meeting with the famous composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. People wonder why I spent time to discuss Eurovision problem with Andrew. I even promised to give my vote for the United Kingdom at Eurovision 2009 in Moscow as Andrew composes songs for the UK Eurovision team. As you way know my vote is approximately 70% of Russian population vote therefore 12 points from Russia is guaranteed to the UK at this Eurovision. Also I will try to promote Andrew’s song in Belarus, Armenia and Moldova then the UK will get at least 10 points from each of these country.

Why I will do all of these “strange” things? As you may know Russian Government has a huge problem to build Nord Stream gas pipeline to link Russia and Germany and the Baltic Sea as Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia have all lobbied to reroute the pipeline. Andrew Lloyd Webber has a strong influence in the Parliament of the United Kingdom therefore Andrew can help us to promote Nord Stream pipeline in order to Gordon Brown put some pressure to some European countries. If this project is still blocked by some of these countries then all of Andrew Lloyd Webber songs will be not available for sell in Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.

Today I was very busy at the Commonwealth of Independent States convention. I approved the economical development strategy for the period to 2020 in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova. Also I had bilateral (tiresome) talk with Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko.

It was quite hard to speak with Yulia as she pretended not to understand Russian language. I asked her to invite the president of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko next time. As I can easily speak English with him and he will translate from English to Ukrainian for Yulia. All time she mumbled a few words "Maidan" (probably she meant Iron Maiden), "Orange" during our conversation. Finally, thanks for my patience and my linguistic skills some important decision were accepted.

I get a lot of questions from Western countries readers about shaky ground. The people who never have been in Russia are interested in this phenomenon. From first glance it seems that these people on video are drunk but it is common misconception that I am going to disclose.

As you may know Germany occupied the huge territory of USSR during the World War 2. Nazis were really close to the Moscow and Saint Petersburg at this time so the military factories in these cities could be easily destroyed by air attack. Therefore USSR government moved the most important factories in the capital and ex-capital under the ground. When the Cold War kicked off these factories started to produce ballistic rockets. Only the most reliable and devoted KGB officer had admission to the factories. Every officer at an underground factory had to know fundamental Karl Marx‘s and Lenin’s works by heart. When USSR collapsed lots officers remained underground as they knew that the future of Russia depends on them as the ballistic rocket is the only power to restrain the foreign aggression.

Gorbachev and Yeltsin tried to stop the underground factories in order to be popular on the West but the braveKGB officer did not give up to populists and continued to produce Russian nuclear shield. When I became the president of Russia I easily contacted with underground KGB officers and took over the secret factories.

I get a lot of questions and comments to my official website about the situation that I “shift of focus from the banking sector and stock exchanges to the country's real economic sector”.

I am going to explain my position on this issue to eliminate misconceptions that the readers living in Western countries believe in. Unfortunately (for USA) our scientists proved that a stock market is the mix of a casino and a finance pyramid. The people who play at the stock market think that they are making money but only sometimes and only some of them. If all debts and profits are summed up on long term then result is zero, from this perspective the stock market is a finance pyramid. The second problem of the stock market is gambling hence it appears some people (especially who is responsible for federal budget) can not stop to play as they addicted.

Russian government wants to direct money from the stock to the real companies and the factories. Unfortunately, a plenty of bankers have got addicted to the stock gambling. Therefore I invited people from KGB and bankers to Kremlin meeting on Monday. So we assigned one KGB officer to every banker in order to control that bankers will not spend bank’s money by gambling on the stock. Probably in the future we are going to handcuff banker with KGB officer during the day for better cash flow control inside of country. No more speculation in Russia and bankrupted pension and social funds.

GM started a new car line in Russia

Yesterday marked a special day in the history of the ex-flagship of the American auto industry GMC. As you probably already know GMC is closing down most of its operations in North America, moving it to Russia, - that's where GMC is building its new headquarters right now.

I am glad to announce that a new line of car was started yesterday at GM factory in Russia. This car was intentionally designed for Russians by our engineers as our people have quite different needs than Americans. Almost every Russian family has a kitchen garden where they grow their food, so during the weekend families go to rest there by cultivate the land. This tradition appeared during the USSR, as there was food deficiency at the stores. Of course, there is no need to grow vegetables right now, as we are exchanging oil for food. However, a lot of people still love this old tradition and organic vegetables, therefore to satisfy their requirements to have a regular car during weekday and an agricultural car during weekend the new GMC vehicle is uniquely adapted to the needs of the growing Russian auto market.

The video was made after I finished my work and left Kremlin on foot. To get home I stopped a taxi cab and offered the driver 200 Rubles (about $8). The driver recognized me and tried to get more. He wanted to get 300 Rubles ($12) for such small distance. Fat chance! So I closed door and deny his proposal, because I care about not only the federal budget but also about my family budget, and I do not want to have any unexpected expenses. But taxi driver contemplated his mistake and accepted my price.

I pulled out flasher that any official higher than deputy minister is provided. But taxi driver told me that he had been instructed and had his own flasher in case of riding high-ranked official.

Ex-General Motors opens 1st Russian factory

GMC has opened a new factory in Russia today, at the moment Russia enjoys by far the best business environment, stable economy and rapidly growing market. Unfortunately, I could not visit the ribbon-cutting ceremony near St. Petersburg , so I delegated this mission to Dmitry Medvedev.

As you probably know GMC is running out of cash, by the end of the year the biggest out of the Big Three will have run out of cash completely.
And there is a high probability that General Motors will be no longer exists. Such an outcome would be a severe blow not only to the economy of the USA, but the world economy as a whole. Luckily, the Russian government and led by its strong leadership decided to step in and save the dying giant of auto industry.

One of my best friends and close associates Oleg Deripaska (accidentally he is also one of the richest men in Russia and the world, but these two facts are unrelated), the owner of Russian Machines [Русские Машины] has agreed to help GMC by buying out all of its stocks and assets (if there are still any left). As the result of this friendly acquisition GMC will join Russian Machines Group under the name Capitan Motors because according to our laws no company can have rank higher then Prime Minister (and I am only a Colonel).

Today the first car assembled at the Russian General Motors (renamed as Captian Motors) has left the factory. According to our national traditions this Cadillac has been made by high-ranking officials and GMC administration. So here is a picture of our first Cadillac in Russia:

I receive many questions regarding Dmitry Medvedev's decision to extend his term as the President to six years. I fell it is necessary to provide the people of Russia with some explanations in order to dissolve various misconceptions regarding the matter and neutralize the gossip.

This proposal was planned by me, Dmitriy Medvedev and Russian Government along time ago as part of preparation to World Crisis. All my and Dmitriy Medvedev’s efforts are devoted to solve the problem of economical, social and political stabilization in Russia.
As you can imagine an election campaign is a very costly affair and so we wish to have more money available to ordinary Russians a few years from now. The real reason of Global Financial Crisis

Dmitry Medvedev and I thought together and I decided that in the heart of the present financial crisis that originated in the US is emission of dollars and credit expansion. The mortgagers in the USA grabbed sub primes. Investment funds bought shares of companies on credit, taken on bail the same companies. Even the U.S. government arranged the war in their pleasure by taking public debt incredible size. The same happened in Russia: oligarchs bought up the companies, investment banks bought up stocks on credit and citizens bought houses and cars on credit. The reason for all scourges is the low interest credit. Everything started to shrink when the low interest credit disappeared.

Why was the low interest credit? Who is to blame? Mr. Greenspan should be blamed because He reduced the refinancing rate from 2000 to 2003 to almost zero. But why did he do that? He struggled with recession, which was caused by the collapse of Enron and similar companies
, who swindled all the 90s with the financial reporting.

Why did these companies swindle? They wanted to grow as fast as Internet based companies that did not bring any profit and sales. And when the Internet based companies had bellied up …

What was the prime reason behind that "unlimited" growth of the Internet based companies? The reason behind was stagnation which led to the prime rate reduction, which in turn entailed infusion of much money into venture funds. Next, when the rates went up, the Internet companies bellied up, the same happened to the companies like Enron and others. Ultimately, the events of 9/11 accelerated the collapse.

So the interest rate was so low in the early nineties as it was the way to struggle with recession. The reasons of recession in 90s were collapsed stock market and companies invested by junk bonds. Junk bonds were created by Michael Milken. Money for junk bonds was lent by savings and loan associations, which were not controlled. And as result stock market was booming.

Who created junk bond and savings and loan associations? Definitely not Milken. He only took advantage of the situation. But Ronald Reagan deregulated economy and Paul Volcker had increased the prime rate at the beginning and decreased it later, as result they got huge cash flow.

Why did they do that? They were struggling with stagflation. The reason of stagflation was Arabian oil embargo. Arabs have imposed the embargo in the USA as the way to struggle with Israel.

Should we blame Israel? No, because England promised to Jewish in 1916 to create Israel in Palestine. But Jewish lived in Palestine for 2 thousand of years and Arabs lived in Palestine for 1.5 thousand of years. So there would have been no problems if Jewish had been there all time.

Who deported Jewish from Israel? Roman Emperor Hadrian deport Jewish in 132 AD. Why did he deport them? Hadrian fell in love with a boy, Antinous. In October 130, while Hadrian and his entourage were sailing on the Nile, Antinous drowned, for unknown reasons, though accident, suicide, murder or religious sacrifice have all been postulated. The emperor was grief stricken. He ordered Antinous deified, and cities were named after the boy, medals struck with his effigy, and statues erected to him in all parts of the empire. Temples were built for his worship in Jerusalem, festivals celebrated in his honor. But Jewish were abused by this action, so they rebelled against Hadrian and as result were deported from Israel.

Misconseption about Russians and Vodka

Maybe a lot of people heard that Russians are addicted to Vodka that Russians drink Vodka like tea or coffee everyday. And if you visit any Russian city especially not Moscow you will see a lot of drunken people on the streets.

It's a common stereotype that the foreigners have about the Russians. As you may know religions were forbidden in USSR except Orthodox church (even they have some troubles and were not popular). But Russians people since ancient time have had strong connection with Indian yoga. Unfortunately yoga was forbidden in USSR by Communist Party, but it was so popular that people decided to disguise theirs practicing of yoga by the way they are drunk, because Vodka was not forbidden. So here a few pictures, where you can easily recognize well-know yoga exercise on Russians streets.

Right now any religion is allowed in Russia because we respect all onions and cultures. But Indian yoga was evolved into a new style during USSR - Russian yoga, and a lot of people still practice it therefore you can see a plenty of "drunk" people on the Russians streets.But in reality all these people on pictures try to reach harmony and peace through the meditation.

Admittedly Russian scientists are one of the best and advanced scientist in the world. And there is a small example of this fact.

As you may know I have a dog - Labrador Koni. But my workplace (Kremlin) is too big, and sometimes it is very hard to find Koni after work. So I asked my best buddy Sergey Ivanov (our minister of military) to solve this problem somehow.

Of course the simplest solution was to use a leash to tether my dog. But Russia is a country where animals have to be respected, and using of a leash is not humanistic solution. So my friend Sergey Ivanov asked our scientist to develop some humanistic device. And right now I have the collar with GPS for Koni.

Hi,
At the end I have opened my unofficial blog to describe the most important problems that were not touched by my friend Dima (sorry Dmitry) Medvedev, President of Russian Federation. This blog is addition to my official website, but here I am going to present my point of view with less officiality.

Also I have monitored Dmitry Medvedev's blog since the beginning and I have noticed that He does not touch some important political and military (because he specializes in economy) issues, and his opinion should be corrected sometimes. Of course I am going to have some important discussion with him in near future and I have to politically orientate him in some aspects. But right now I want to present you more information about our country and our people. So if you have any question Please do not hesitate to ask it in my blog's comments. Lots of the questions that were asked on my official Russian website did not get response because of huge traffic. So I will try to solve this problem here for English speaking people.

Also a lot of people want to know more about me, my family, my relations with my co-workers. So I am going to describe some of the events of my life and give some comments about my friends.
