Financial crisis impacts Arts

Global Financial crisis impacts not only real (auto industry) and unreal (stock market) sectors of economy but it also has severely impacted Arts recently, especially painting:

Christie’s International sold for 10 pounds ($15.40) an artwork earmarked to fetch 2,000 pounds at its auction of Russian art in London, summing up the mood at yesterday’s sale which missed the low forecast by almost half.

Nikita Lobanov-Rostovsky’s hand shot up when auctioneer James Bruce-Gardyne, exasperated by the salesroom’s cold response all day, gestured toward the piece “Troika Leaving the Farmstead” and asked, “Will anyone give me 10 pounds?”

“It was the bargain of the century,” said a triumphant Lobanov-Rostovsky, 73, a prince and one of the most prominent Russian art collectors in Europe whose collection with former wife Nina was bought by a Kremlin-controlled foundation in St Petersburg earlier this year. In addition to the hammer price, he paid a 3-pound commission on the undated ink-on-paper picture by an unidentified Russian artist.

Christie’s couldn’t confirm if it’s the cheapest lot the company has ever sold.

Probably all creative artists should receive 50 billion bailout from the US Government before the US auto industry will get 25 billion bailout .

Russian nuclear weapon VS American nuclear weapon

There are lots of debates about a nuclear weapons. Of course the most interesting question is Who has the most powerful nuclear weapon Russia or USA?

Our KGB officer obtained the latest information about US nuclear weapon therefore I am going to disclose today the most powerful nuclear explosion made by US. A cutting-edge technology was implemented in this secret weapon therefore it has very dangerous and destructive effect within seconds or minutes of a nuclear detonation. We call this effect "Consumptive Radiation" because all people in the radius of 500 miles start to spend all money on the products they do not really need, live in credit they can not maintain as they forget what the saving account is and the consumption become the sense of their life.

Russian nuclear weapon is not so insidious. It is the old-fashioned way like this:

Charles, Prince of Wales

Prince Charles celebrated his 60 anniversary a few days ago. Dmitry Medvedev invited him to Moscow in order to have a really good fun-time with me and Dmitry. Because all Buckingham Palace's parties are utterly boring. Unfortunately, Charles could not come as he had reserved table in a restaurant for all royal family. Yesterday he send a few pictures from this party to Dmitry Medvedev.

Unfortunetly, Dmitry promised to Charles to keep it in the secret but
I am going to post these exclusive pictures today as I can easily access Dmitry's computer (KGB training) and I did not give any promises.

My democratic predecessor

I was criticized that I was not democratic and liberal president as my predecessor Boris Yeltsin. Some people dare claim that there were a freedom and pluralism in Russia during Yeltsin presidential term . I want you to watch some video with Yeltsin and ask yourself do you wish this man would be a president of your country?

Teleconference with ordinary people

I like to hear what ordinary people think about Russian Government and my work especially so I organize teleconference where anybody can call and ask me any question or tell me his opinion about my work.

Translation of the dialog for non Russian-speaking readers:
Reporter: Hello, please introduce yourself
Old Lady: I am not going to speak with you. I will speak only with Putin
Reporter: Vladimir Vladimirovich is listening you. Ask your questions.
I: I am listening you... Hello
Old Lady: Is it you?
I: Yes
Old lady: Is it really you?
I: Right. It's me
Old Lady: Oh my God, thank you very much... Thank you very much for everything what you did... (she hung up the phone)
I: Thank you for your words. Everything what you said is an evaluation of my work. It is also the evaluation of my co-workers' work. But a lot of things still has not been done. I promise that we will do everything in order to realize our goals.
